IE1 (Standard Efficiency) motor has been banned from 1st October, 2017. The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued an order dated 18th January, 2017 called the Energy Efficient Induction Motors – Three Phase Squirrel Cage (Quality Control) Order, 2017 which will come into force with effect from
